The fact that Pascal Wehrlein is one the biggest rising stars in motor sport was confirmed when he became the youngest driver ever to become champion of the DTM, Germany's premier touring car series, in 2015 - a day before his 21st birthday.
The triumphant year followed a dream end to Wehrlein's 2014 season. First he took his first ever victory in the DTM with a win in mixed conditions around the Lausitzring. At just 19, he was also the youngest driver ever to win a race in the series.
Then his week got even better as he was named the Mercedes F1 team’s official reserve driver just days later. He went on to top the timesheets as he made his debut for the team at the last day of 2014 testing in Abu Dhabi.
Finally Wehrlein reached the Race Of Champions Grand Final in Barbados at his very first attempt, before losing out to David Coulthard. Now he will be back in a bid to go a step further at London's former Olympic Stadium in 2015.
